Georges Plant Farm

Good Morning,

Last spring I called you after finding your website. We have grown sweet potatoes off and on with mixed success in zones 3 (34 years there) and zone 4 (three years here). However, I was disappointed. They were never arriving when promised, plants were weak, I could expect 25% loss, etc.

You were courteous, promised you raised your own plants and would send on time. WOW! You are so fine. You kept your word to the letter. The plants were nice and early for our short summers here in Minnesota. They were the most generous in number, fair in price and absolutely healthy. We didn't lose one. In spite of a cold July that I know they needed and kept the production down a bit, they were very rewarding and delicious. Here in MN I get the best results letting them dry in an outside building about two weeks and storing in our heated attached garage for many weeks as they sweeten.

Now if you only could grow sweet potatoes that had vole and pocket gopher protection! Traps help a little and we don't use poison as we are basically organic. Fine wire is not really workable with the mound system. We already use it and electric fence for rabbits, woodchucks, racoons and deer. I used the mound system with red plastic, followed past experience and your new tips and was very satisfied.

We will definitely order from you next year and you may certainly use my praise for you and your product in marketing if you wish. Have a wonderful winter. Ours here is a bit long for passionate gardeners like us.

Sincerely
Sharon McCarney
